The Assistant Manager supports the Restaurant General Manager in all aspects of restaurant operations to ensure the efficient
functioning of the business in line with brand standards. This includes team supervision, operational execution, and customer
service delivery. The Assistant Manager acts as second-in-command, assuming full responsibility in the absence of the RGM.

A. Operational Support
¿ Assists with the opening and closing procedures of the restaurant.
¿ Ensures compliance with all operational standards, procedures, and quality checks (food safety, hygiene, inventory).
¿ Verifies proper functioning of equipment and initiates maintenance requests as needed.
¿ Conducts daily line checks and follows food safety protocols (HACCP).
¿ Supports management of restaurant cleanliness, ambiance, and upkeep.
B. Team Supervision
¿ Supervises hourly team members during shifts and ensures optimal staffing levels.
¿ Leads pre-shift briefings and coordinates role assignments for the day.
¿ Coaches team leaders and junior staff on execution and service standards.
¿ Participates in onboarding and ongoing training of new hires.
¿ Prepares shift schedules as assigned by the RGM.
C. Customer Experience
¿ Acts as point of contact for guest complaints or issues during the shift.
¿ Monitors service times and customer feedback (Google reviews, in-store feedback).
¿ Ensures mystery visit standards are understood and met.
D. Sales and Profitability
¿ Supports the RGM in achieving labor cost and food cost targets.
¿ Reviews shift performance KPIs with team leaders and identifies corrective actions.
¿ Participates in upselling initiatives and local marketing activations.
¿ Handles cash procedures and daily sales reconciliations.
E. Compliance and Administration
¿ Ensures labor law compliance on breaks, schedules, and team timesheets.
¿ Participates in internal audits (health & safety, labor, fire, etc.).
¿ Maintains up-to-date employee files, training logs, and checklists.
¿ Escalates disciplinary issues in line with HR guidelines.
Profil
A. Skills & Competencies
¿ Basic computer literacy (email, POS systems, timekeeping systems).
¿ Solid understanding of restaurant operations, kitchen processes, and front-of-house.
¿ Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch are an advantage.
¿ Strong organizational and planning skills.
¿ Problem-solving attitude with a calm demeanor under pressure.
