AP Accountant I FR-NL I Brussels

To strengthen his Finance team at his Brussels headquarters, our client is looking for an AP Accounting Specialist.

Description

• Manage and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and support financial reporting under BE GAAP and IFRS.
• Perform complex account reconciliations, including intercompany and fixed assets accounts.
• Analyze and optimize financial processes by implementing automation and efficiency improvements.
• Partner with operational teams (stores, e-commerce, logistics) to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Identify financial risks, strengthen internal controls, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management with at least a first experience in a similar role.
• Strong accounting knowledge with the ability to independently manage complex reconciliations (intercompany, fixed assets).
• Proficient in Excel, with an interest in ERP systems and Generative AI tools.
• Organized, proactive, and able to manage priorities effectively while meeting strict deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Fluent in Dutch with a good command of French and English; committed to continuous learning and process improvement.
