AML Compliance Officer (AMLCO) - Brussels - Fintech

Our client is a european fintech operating in the financial services and payments sector. Its Brussels-based offices offer a dynamic, modern and easily accessible working environment within a rapidly evolving industry.

• Act as the AML Compliance Officer and oversee the organisation's AML/CFT framework
• Supervise KYC, CDD, sanctions screening, PEP reviews and transaction monitoring activities
• Manage, coach and develop a team of 6 compliance professionals
• Review and validate complex investigations and escalate sensitive cases when required
• Maintain and enhance AML/CFT policies, procedures and internal controls
• Coordinate regulatory reporting, audits and compliance reviews
• Collaborate closely with legal, risk and operational teams to ensure regulatory compliance

• Degree in Law, Finance, Compliance, Risk Management or a related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience in AML/CFT, compliance or financial crime within financial services, payments or fintech
• Fluent in English; proficiency in French and/or Dutch is considered an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Belgian and European AML regulations, KYC/CDD, sanctions and transaction monitoring
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven experience leading and developing compliance teams
