Freelance Business Process & Operations Consultant

Our client is an established international professional services organization.

• Map and document end-to-end processes across the different Business Services functions.
• Meet with key stakeholders to understand how processes are currently performed in practice.
• Document current-state ("as-is") processes, including responsibilities, systems, approvals and dependencies.
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies and opportunities to create clearer and more efficient ways of working.
• Develop practical future-state ("to-be") processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Create clear process documentation using tools such as Visio or PowerPoint.
• Ensure critical operational knowledge is properly captured and documented.
• Review and centralize existing supplier contracts, including ownership, expiry dates, renewal periods and key obligations.
• Review insurance arrangements and help identify potential gaps, overlaps or inconsistencies.
• Establish a practical approach for monitoring contract renewals, expiry dates and related actions.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Legal to ensure the appropriate contracts and governance are in place.
• Review and improve processes related to signing rights and delegated authorities.
• Take end-to-end ownership of deliverables and ensure the work progresses independently with limited day-to-day supervision.

• Demonstrated experience as a Business Process Consultant, Process Improvement Consultant, Business Operations Consultant or process-oriented Business Analyst.
• Strong hands-on experience with business process mapping and documentation.
• Able to conduct stakeholder interviews and translate complex information into clear and practical processes.
• Experience creating as-is/to-be process maps and SOPs.
• Previous exposure to contract management, supplier governance or operational governance is highly valuable.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Autonomous and execution-focused: you are comfortable taking ownership and delivering the work from start to finish.
• Pragmatic and hands-on profile rather than purely strategic or advisory.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken, is required.
• Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a strong advantage.
