Cybersecurity engineer

About the Role:

As an Information Security Officer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization's IT infrastructure and sensitive data. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing robust security protocols and procedures
• Conducting regular security assessments and audits
• Monitoring and responding to security incidents
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures
• Serving as a point of contact for security-related inquiries
• Leading the certification project for ISO27001
• Staying updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Fluency in Dutch, with strong English language skills
• Proven experience as an Information Security Officer or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., NIST, CIS)
• Strong understanding of network security, encryption protocols, and secure coding practices
• Experience in vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and incident response
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM)
• Relevant technical certifications (e.g., ECIH, CEH) are highly desirable
