Legal Counsel (Medior) - Corporate & Commercial - Brussels

Contract Management

• Review, draft and validate a wide range of contracts
• Support internal teams in contract negotiations and transactions
• Ensure legal compliance of contractual engagements

Legal Advisory

• Advise internal stakeholders on:
  • Insurance law
  • Corporate law
  • Contract law
  • Regulatory framework applicable to insurers
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting the business
• Provide clear, pragmatic legal opinions across various matters (commercial, governance, strategic topics)
• Support litigation matters in collaboration with external counsel

Corporate Governance & Housekeeping

• Ensure compliance with corporate and governance regulations
• Contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures
• Support the corporate secretariat function
• Interact directly with decision-making bodies (management, board, etc.)

• Master's degree in Law (Belgian university)
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of corporate law
• Interest in insurance law and governance matters
• Analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts
• Native French or Dutch, with a good command of the other language
• Proactive, curious, and autonomous
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with different departments
