Freelance Azure Data Engineer (Data Platform)

For a customer in Antwerp, we are searching for 3 freelance Data Engineers to help build a modern data platform that supports data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists.

Within the Data & Analytics team, you will contribute to the development and management of a cloud-based data platform on Microsoft Azure. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that data is reliable, accessible, and usable for reporting, analytics, and AI applications.

Responsibilities

· Develop and manage data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
· Build data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lake solutions.
· Support analytics and AI applications within the data platform.
· Analyze and resolve technical issues.
· Document solutions, processes, and integrations.
· Collaborate with internal teams and external partners in agile projects.
· Help develop tools and frameworks that support data teams.

Profile

· You have a bachelor's or master's degree in an IT-related field, or equivalent experience.
· You have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a similar role.
· You have knowledge of Microsoft Azure and modern data platforms.
· You have experience with Python, Git/GitHub, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
· Experience with Databricks is a significant advantage.
· Knowledge of dbt, Airflow, Linux scripting, or data warehousing is a plus.
· You work independently, take initiative, and have an analytical mindset.
· You communicate effectively and enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team.
