Business Developer – E-Mobility Supply Chain

Worklocation: Diegem/Machelen travelling 30%

Our customer, a leading Japanese automotive corporation founded in 1968, is looking for a Business Developer E-Mobility Supply Chain. In this role, you will support the growth of the EV and electrification business by developing partnerships, driving commercial activities, and coordinating international projects across Europe and Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Development & Supply Chain
• Build and strengthen relationships with Asian automotive suppliers.
• Manage commercial activities, customer communication, logistics, and cost calculations.
• Identify and onboard new manufacturing partners.
• Support procurement activities, including supplier evaluation, negotiations, and QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) management.
• Electrification & Market Development
• Develop new business opportunities for battery-related materials and EV components.
• Conduct market research and identify emerging technologies and innovative companies.
• Explore strategic partnerships and investment opportunities.
• Strategy & Market Intelligence
• Monitor market and competitor developments.
• Support business growth strategies and market-entry initiatives.
• Collaborate with international teams to align regional and global objectives.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's degree (Master's is a plus).
• Fluent in English.
• Experience in procurement, purchasing, sales, or business development; previous experience within the company is a strong asset.
• Familiarity with Genchi Genbutsu and Kaizen principles is a plus.
• Technical or engineering background preferred, or a strong interest in business development.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills in an international environment.
• Proficient in MS Office and other business software.
