About the job

As a Patent Paralegal, you will provide administrative support for formal patent procedures in Belgium, Europe and abroad. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Corresponding with clients, foreign agents and patent granting authorities such as the European Patent Office
  • Registering and following up on patent-related deadlines
  • Monitoring worldwide changes in procedural matters and implementing these changes in our procedures
  • Coordinating the filing of patent applications
  • Carrying out general administrative tasks

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Has a strong judicial affinity
  • Has excellent written and oral communication skills in Dutch and English; other languages are a plus
  • Handles confidential matters with discretion
  • Has excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Is proactive, takes initiative and knows how to set priorities
  • Has strong attention to detail
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ideally has some experience as a Patent Paralegal, although this is not required
