Trailer & Truck Mechanic

Do you have experience with trucks, agricultural machinery, construction equipment or other heavy vehicles?

To strengthen a small and specialised technical team in Mouscron, we are looking for a mechanic who will mainly work on trailers and semi-trailers.
Previous experience with trailers is definitely an advantage, but it is not an absolute requirement. Technical insight, motivation and a willingness to learn are just as important.

What will you do?
You will mainly work on trailers and semi-trailers, while also carrying out technical work on trucks when required.

The job is varied and combines mechanical repairs, diagnostics, welding, hydraulics and pneumatics. No two working days are exactly the same.

• Carry out maintenance and repairs on trailers and semi-trailers.
• Assemble and disassemble various mechanical components.
• Diagnose and solve mechanical and technical problems.
• Perform welding work.
• Work on pneumatic systems.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic systems.
• Repair braking systems and other technical components.
• Inspect trailers and prepare them technically for vehicle inspection.
• Replace defective or worn parts.
• Carry out general mechanical work on trucks when required.
• Independently analyse technical problems and find practical solutions.
• Help maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop.

Above all, we are looking for someone with a strong technical background and a practical mindset.
You do not necessarily need several years of experience as a trailer mechanic.

Your experience could be a great match if you have previously worked as a:

• Trailer or semi-trailer mechanic.
• Truck or heavy vehicle mechanic.
• Agricultural machinery mechanic.
• Construction equipment or heavy machinery mechanic.
• Technical mechanic or fitter with relevant experience in mechanics, welding, hydraulics or pneumatics.
