Compliance Officer - Brussels - Venture Capital Firm

Our client is an established investment management organisation based in Brussels, operating in an international and highly regulated environment. The offices are easily accessible and offer the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders on strategic compliance matters.

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the compliance and risk framework
• Monitor regulatory developments and support the implementation of new regulatory requirements
• Oversee AML/CFT activities and participate in related control and reporting processes
• Support interactions with regulators, supervisory authorities and regulatory filings
• Assess and monitor outsourced service providers and ICT-related risks
• Provide compliance support across fund operations, including investment monitoring and conflict assessments
• Participate in regulatory analyses supporting new jurisdictions, fundraising activities and cross-border operations

• Master's degree in Law, Finance or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar Compliance position
• Experience within an AIFM, investment fund, private equity, venture capital, asset management or another regulated financial services organisation
• Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch are valuable assets
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance controls and risk management practices
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and apply evolving regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders
