Safety Advisor

Plouvier Group is looking for a Safety Advisor to join our team.

With 20 vessels and 165 colleagues, Plouvier operates a modern inland tanker fleet across Europe. We are looking for an experienced QHES professional with a strong background in ADN, dangerous goods and inland tanker operations.

As ADN Safety Advisor, you will play an important role in maintaining regulatory compliance and continuously improving QHES standards across our fleet.

Your role

You will be responsible for ensuring that our vessels, procedures and documentation remain compliant with ADN and applicable inland shipping regulations.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring ADN compliance across the fleet.
• Acting as ADN Safety Advisor and providing practical guidance to vessel crews.
• Monitoring regulatory developments and translating them into clear procedures.
• Conducting and reviewing risk assessments, work permits and safety procedures.
• Supporting incident and near-miss investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintaining accurate and traceable QHES and ADN documentation.
• Working with Captains, crew and Superintendents through focus groups to identify risks and improve procedures.
• Supporting SIRE/VIQ, BIQ, TMSA, OCIMF and ADN audits and inspections.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who combines strong ADN knowledge with practical experience in the maritime or inland shipping sector.

You have:

• A valid ADN Safety Advisor certificate.
• Practical experience with ADN and dangerous goods.
• Experience in inland tanker shipping is highly valued.
• Knowledge of QHES, HSE and Safety Management Systems (SMS).
• Experience with risk assessments, incident investigations and audits.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• The ability to turn regulations into practical solutions for vessel crews.
• Fluent English, German and Dutch
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience with SIRE/VIQ, TMSA or OCIMF is an advantage.
