Maintenance Mechanic for Trucks

As a maintenance mechanic for trucks, you are responsible for the technical maintenance of trailers. You make sure that everything is ready for inspection and carry out interventions where needed. You replace brakes, shock absorbers and other worn parts. Welding work on trailers is also part of your job.

On a typical day, you start by checking trailers scheduled for inspection. You perform planned maintenance and repair defective parts. You assemble and disassemble components, work independently on repairs and coordinate with colleagues when necessary. If you have knowledge of hydraulics or electricity, that's a plus, but not a must. Communication with colleagues and, if needed, customers is in Dutch, French, English or German.

• You have a diploma of lower secondary education or equivalent by experience
• You have at least 1 year of experience as a mechanic
• You can work independently and think in terms of solutions
• You have strong communication skills
• You have a good command of at least one of these languages: Dutch, French, English or German
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics or electricity is a plus, not a requirement
