Freelance Senior Tax Specialist

Our client is a leading international organisation based in Brussels, with a Group Finance function operating in a complex and highly regulated environment.

As part of a strategic transition within the Group Accounting & Tax department, they are looking for an experienced Freelance Senior Tax Specialist to strengthen the team and support both day-to-day tax activities and strategic projects.

As a Freelance Senior Tax Specialist your responsibilities are:

• Manage corporate tax and VAT compliance for the Belgian entity ;
• Oversee transfer pricing documentation, reporting and group policies ;
• Coordinate tax audits and work with external tax advisors ;
• Support tax-related regulatory developments, including Pillar 2, CBAM and BEFIT ;
• Contribute to tax digitalisation and automation initiatives ;
• Support finance transformation projects, including SAP S/4HANA ;
• Provide tax advice and guidance on business and transformation initiatives ;
• Support group and management reporting on tax matters ;

A successful Freelance Senior Tax Specialist should have:

• Master's degree in Tax Law, Business Accounting, Economics or equivalent ;
• Strong knowledge of Belgian corporate tax and VAT, with BEGAAP expertise ;
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in corporate tax, tax advisory or tax compliance ;
• Strong experience with corporate tax, VAT and transfer pricing ;
• Proven ability to manage complex tax matters and translate them into pragmatic business solutions ;
• Experience with tax transformation, digitalisation or finance transformation projects ;
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA ;
• Fluent in French and/or Dutch, with professional proficiency in English ;
