ABAP DEVELOPER

Description

• Act as Project Lead and own responsibilities for development projects,
• Work with all the stakeholders to gather business requirements. Design and develop solutions in the main functional areas of SAP using the available SAP technologies and best business practices,
• Responsible to prepare project/change management plans and coordinate activities for completion with all stakeholders including end users, process owners, internal/off-shore IT teams and possibly external consultant,
• Design, develop, test and implement change requests and projects, from start to finish,
• Responsible for creating project documentation like Business requirements, Functional Specifications and Test Scripts,
• Identify opportunities in current system design which will,
  • add value to the business and improve the business processes,
  • simplify, standardize and automate processes,
• Perform production support for the Helpdesk tickets submitted by end users. Provide 1st level support for resolution for the local end users or escalate to other IT team members for resolution,
• Propose and execute configuration changes and/or enhancements to the existing system to resolve production support issues, if needed,

• Update status of assigned tickets in the Helpdesk and inform business users accordingly.

Profile

• Degree in Computer Science and/or 7 – 10 years related work experience as SAP ABAP developer, with cross module experience.
• The candidate must be experienced in technical areas as ABAP (Executable programs, Module pools, includes…), SAPscript, Smartforms, SAP Workflows, User exits, Enhancement Points, BADI’s, BAPI’s and RFC’s.
• A good understanding about the creation of database tables, views, structures, data types and other ABAP dictionary objects is a must.
• Knowledge in the main SAP modules like SD/LE/MM/FI.
• Interested to support and work in other tools & systems besides SAP, in particular label software system like Transform, Bartender, NiceLabel
• Ability to understand business strategy, analyze business processes and develop technical solutions to support the company.
• Strong Communication skills (Written, Verbal, and Presentation) with ability to sell concepts and ideas to internal users/external customers. Must be a good team player.

• Ability to multi-tasking and prioritizing the business requirements.
