Power electronic Engineer M/W/X

For an automotive client at the forefront of innovative power electronics solutions, we're searching for a Power Electronic Design Engineer. You will be a member of powertrain R&D team, this team focus on the development, sourcing & application of power electronic systems in the vehicle powertrain area; On-board charger, DCDC converter, motor inverter, vehicle charging peripherals.

Mission :

• Your initial priority will be to analyze national grid code requirements and international standards for AC V2G bi-directional charging. This involves a comprehensive investigation of EU national grid codes to define our system's design boundaries.
• Your main role will be developing a new compact On-board Charger/DCDC unit for 48V mobility applications. This includes design reviews with suppliers, test planning/analysis, and schedule alignment with vehicle project stakeholders.
• You'll also support the development of a motor inverter for 48V traction systems, handling similar tasks as the OBC, but to a lesser extent.
• Finally, you'll provide general ad-hoc support for various team activities, including vehicle charging, power electronics component development, and standards studies.

• You have a Master degree in (power) electronics, electrical engineering or mechatronics.
• 2+ years (relevant) experience in automotive mass-production development projects either at OEM or TIER 1 suppliers.
• Knowledge on Functional Safety and Cyber security development frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills, perseverance, autonomy as well as the ability to work as part of a team. A tireless problem solver, with intellectual curiosity and the drive to investigate tech[1]nical facts in-depth.
• Required computer skills: MS Office, any other software knowledge is a strong asset (Matlab, Simulink, Python, ... ).
• Ability to communicate in a clear way at all levels and to visually summarise progress.
• Fluent in English (writing, reading & speaking).
